Day Eight


Baby carrots are a godsend.

So today I was out most the day, I had breakfast at home but I relied on my ability to eat better while I was out. I wound up at a mongolian barbeque place for dinner and despite the guilty feeling in my gut that I was totally blowing off my diet while the wife was out of town I managed to stay on track and still eat a really well.

11:00 am.
Blood sugar - 155
Weight - 270 lbs.

11:05 am. - Meds
1 Glipizide
1 Multi Vitamin

11:30 am - Breakfast.
2 serving Better'n Eggs - Ham and Cheese
2 Light Multi-Grain English Muffin
2 tsp tobasco sauce
5½ oz. can V8 - low sodium

1:30 pm. - snack on bus
1 cup carrots
1 cup celery
1 20oz. Diet Pepsi®

3:00 pm. - Lunch
1 cup romaine lettuce
2 Tbsp fat-free Italian salad dressing
1 Tbsp shredded Parmesan cheese
2 item chicken vegetable soup in a cup
18 items Soy thin crisps sweet bbq flavored baked soy crisps
1 20oz. Diet Pepsi®

8:15 pm. - Meds
1 Glipizide

8:30 pm. - Dinner
8 oz cooked squid
3 fillet Fish, cod, raw
2 cup snow peas
1 cup red onion
½ cup water chestnuts
1 cup cooked bamboo shoots
2 20oz. unsweetened ice tea with lemon

11:00 pm.
Blood sugar - 144
